When my sister
Linda and myself were planning our mothers funeral, we were looking through
poems at the funeral home. We had probably looked at 15 by this time, had
some possibilities, but when we came to this one we both looked at each
other with tears and said this is it! This is exactly how we feel! She was
definitely one of the BEST.

God Takes the
Best
God saw you
getting tired
and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "come with Me."
With tearful
eyes we watched you
suffer and saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart
stopped beating
you're now at peaceful rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He Only Takes the BEST.
Kissed
By The Soul Of A Newest Angel
As I held her
hand and kissed her sweet cheek
She did this for me, for she could not speak
For many weeks her lovely body lay there
But only her spirit was she able to share
As God called her, still she stayed patiently
For an intimate moment just with me, she could be
To tell me her love, and give her fond bon voyage'
I know now that she knew, as her spirit to Him flew
That her love could heal, so much more than I knew
The love of a woman was freely given to me
Not meant to be shackled, only kept lovingly
At that moment when her love was all she could be
If her spirit must be, it was my love that she
Desired to share, when at last she'd be free.
